Sales Development Representative (remote)

BlueConduit is a data analytics and software company focused on the water industry that has developed cutting-edge, predictive machine learning software to locate lead service lines, empowering local officials and their engineering partners with the information to efficiently remove those pipes. We are seeking a driven individual who can fill this critical role on our sales team to bring this solution to communities across the country.

Position Description:

  • Generate new sales opportunities and support the sales team in developing and qualifying leads
  • Conduct outbound outreach (emails/calling) and create client excitement
  • Deliver against a quota (quarterly and yearly)
  • Establish and manage target lists of  prospects
  • Close deals with water utilities directly and in partnership with engineering consulting companies
  • Communicate the “voice of the customer/market” and customer preferences to the BlueConduit team to help enhance product offering, marketing, and general strategy
  • Manage pipeline from prospects through deal contracting and handoff to the customer success team
  • Deliver customer-focused solutions, in collaboration with Product team and Customer Success team
  • Manage and triage customers’ technical questions about product, engaging other experts within BlueConduit to support the sale
  • Represent the team at conferences, events, workshops, and in-person meetings in order to help identify leads and help communicate how we can be a solution for various mobile data collection needs

We Are Looking For A Person With:

  • A passion for excellence and concern about “Getting the Lead(Pb) Out”
  • Experience with government technology SaaS sales
  • A strategic and creative mindset to facilitate discussions, gain intelligence and find and speak to the right people
  • Fast learner, able to both independently problem-solve and work collaboratively
  • Ability to own and manage multiple projects—from assignment to delivery
  • 1-3 years of B2B or B2G experience with a hunter mentality
  • A college degree (desired)
  • Familiarity with data science/machine learning concepts
  • Up to 50% travel 
  • SDR Training or Certification a plus
